I replaced the original Carrera transformer (there is one for 1:32 and one for 1:24) with a Power supply of max 20V 5A for Carrera Digital 1:24 /1:32. Putting more power into the track will enhance the experience a lot! Many of the Slot car retailers and online dealers are selling them, for example Myracer.de and Jaspeed.com. This is one thing you need to do. Put more power into your track!
